Black-Backed Dwarf Kingfisher Hoops- 2025 Advent Calendar - Handmade Acrylic & Metal Earrings
Advent Calendar products are limited edition with limited quantities. These are for preorder ONLY and will be made & shipped in 2026.
This colourful sweetheart is the black-capped dwarf kingfisher, endemic to parts of the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. This diminutive creature resides in wooded areas and is very shy, but VERY dazzling! Their plumage features ultramarine-blue and lilac, with a striking coral beak. We’ve captured that saturated look with solid acrylics in tones that really POP.
These cuties are about as big as a medium-sized hummingbird (12cm long), so they are much smaller than the other kingfisher friends in our flock. This design reflects their pocket size and is a smaller size than our other mismatched kingfishers, but with a luxurious chunky gold hoop for style and comfort.

• Our Advent Calendar products are limited with capped quantities.
• To support the sheer number of Advent Calendar shoppers and our December workload, these products will go into production in January 2026. The only exceptions are Dec 1-3 - these will be made and shipped in December within our Christmas shipping cutoffs.
• Production happens all throughout January, with shipping beginning in February.
• We cannot prioritise Advent Calendar orders. They will be made in the order of release, and if you have ordered multiple times, your order will be sent once we have completed production for all of your items.
• Items purchased with Advent Calendar products will be sent together when the order is ready. We do not advise you purchase any other products alongside Advent products, especially if you need them for Christmas. We cannot split orders.
• There is only one shipping option for Advent orders. Shipping is free to facilitate multiple orders, which is common, and your orders will automatically be combined when we are ready to ship in 2026.
• You can use discount codes on Advent Calendar products

• Items purchased with pre-order products will be sent together when the order is ready. We do not advise you purchase any other products alongside Advent products, especially if you need them for Christmas. We cannot split orders.
• To combine your parcels, you can select the 'combine my Advent Calendar order' shipping option, and you will not be charged for shipping. If you do not select this option, we cannot guarantee we will be able to combine your orders and refund your postage.

Love my little penguins in funky Christmas Sweaters. I would like to see an option of hooks for the earrings though. As a volunteer fire fighter, I often have to remove my earrings quickly and the hoops don't allow this. I have changed some of my other birds to hooks, but unfortunately the penguins couldn't be changed, which limits when i can wear them.

Usually I don't leave reviews, but I just had to- these earrings are SO adorable. I ordered the modified hoop version, & they're definitely worth the extra couple dollars! They don't just drill into the penguin to make the hook, but actually attach a whole other piece of acrylic at the back to hang it from, so none of the perfect penguin design was sacrificed :)) came with lovely fairy penguin facts, packaged well, and light to wear.
Beautiful earrings! Always looking for unique hoop earrings and am not a fan of studs. I got lots of compliments on them when I wore them at work. I'm looking forward to purchasing more earrings from Binkabu soon!
