Educational, Entertaining, Heartfelt
Perfect for ages 2-6, Little Kook's Laugh is an adorable way to teach kids about our Australian bird life. Bright, bold imagery and onomatopoeic bird calls helps little readers AND big readers identify some iconic neighbourhood birds.
Celebrate the Laughing Kookaburra
Our whimsical jewellery is designed to honour the beautiful species that each piece represents, from the silhouettes and colours to the fine details and overall expression. They're made to celebrate you, too - hypoallergenic posts and light-weight materials means you can expect comfort as well as confidence!
Learn Your Bird Calls Below!
Little Kook's Laugh doesn't feature audio in the book itself, but you can listen to the main character's calls below to help with making your loudest, proudest calls as you read aloud.
Learn to Identify Birds by Sight
The main characters in Little Kook's Laugh are iconic and recognisable, and each introduction features a gorgeous, full-page coloured illustration (by the talented Aliaga) with fun facts to share with little readers!
The next step? Try to spot some in the wild!
Learn to Identify Birds by Sound
Personally, this is our favourite part of Little Kook's Laugh, both visually and for the reading experience with our two littles, Luna and Nova. The book features a stunning two-page spread for each main character, with onomatopoeic bird calls, so you can practise them together!

About Maddi and Tim
We love reading to our two little munchkins - Luna and Nova. We also love birds, and are creatives at heart - writing a book just came naturally with BINKABU's evolution. We have spent the last few years writing and developing this children's book. It's our first, but hopefully not our last!
About Aliaga
We searched far and wide to find an illustrator to match our earring style and found Aliaga Mirguseinov, from Lithuania.
His charming style is the perfect balance of handmade cuteness and clean shapes that we needed to bring Little Kook's Laugh to life. Little Kook's story is defined by the bold, bright imagery of the characters and Australian landscapes.
